King Cake for All

Happy Mardi Gras everyone! It is very unfortunate that as long as I am in the job that I am, we will never be able to make it to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. David has suggested that Clemson schedule a basketball game at Tulane during Carnival, but that is not likely to happen since this is ACC playing time. Hopefully one day we will be able to make it.

My cousin Lindsay (http://www.withalittleloveandluck.com/2012/02/wednesday-recipe-mini-king-cake.html) had a great idea in making a King Cake by braiding Pillsbury Cinnamon rolls. This was such a great idea and I have made 4 cakes in the last few days. One was for us to have at home, one for work, and two for a bake sale at a church that I do not attend but play softball for. I am not sure if they sold in the sale, but I do now that people at work loved it and I was able to give my co-workers a lesson on Mardi Gras traditions and that it is more than just a party.

While I think I need to work on my food color ratios to get the correct coloring, I think all in all, this was a successful bake!
