We spent last week in New Orleans, visiting with my side of the family. Due to our trip to Hawaii and getting back to start work, we only had a few days in town, but enjoyed every minute of the time that we did have. We went to Brocato's for a cannoli, visited with my family, Granny, Grandmother, many of my cousins, Gigi and Steve, and Aunt Susan, celebrated Christmas, had an oyster po-boy, ate king cake (and king cake ice cream), and Drake tried his first taste of beignet. I realize that much of what we did revolved around eating, as it typically does when we go to New Orleans.

Because of work and travel obligations, I do not think we will be able to make it back to New Orleans for a while...hopefully we will be back Easter. Hopefully on the next trip we will have a chance to see more family.
